Since the beginning of April 2016 all of the front desks in Police Stations have closed. This includes Loughton Police Station, which continues to act as an operational base. Epping and Waltham Abbey Police Stations will probably be sold.

Your nearest Police Station in Essex with an open front desk is Harlow.

The local Police Community meetings for the general public will no longer take place.

We understand that Epping Forest District has now joined Brentwood District and that there will be one meeting a month, somewhere in the new policing district.

Epping Forest Neighbourhood Watch (EF NHW) regrets that there is to be less contact with Essex Police, but your EF NHW Committee will still be working with Essex Police and will be representing your views, via street and regional coordinators.

Epping Forest District Council has provided an online reporting point where people can report non-emergency crimes and minor traffic collisions to Essex Police.

The council has installed a computer terminal in the reception area at its Civic Offices on High Street, Epping for members of the public to access Essex Police’s website and online reporting services.

Epping Forest Neighbourhood Watch hope that other areas in our district will do likewise, perhaps in libraries for people who do not have computer access - and lots of people don't!
